Dordogne Gite

This charming Perigourdine cottage consists of one bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a fully fitted kitchen with integrated sitting and dining room. There are lovely views from all windows and a pretty private garden with patio, ideal for relaxing in.

Castillonnès is a 20 minute walk away, or a short 5 minute drive. This is a mediaeval ‘bastide’ village where there is a weekly market, a feature of the village since 1259. There is also a range of services including several bars and restaurants, a supermarket, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a trotting race hippodrome and a championship standard golf course at Chateau de Vigiers within half an hour's drive. 

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

Romarin is situated on the border of the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne, the ‘Tuscany’ of France. This area is well known for its lovely warm summer climate, stunning countryside, vineyards, beautiful chateaux, mediaeval hilltop villages with their lively markets, brocantes, vide greniers, bodegas and summer fairs and, of course, the local gastronomical specialities of foie gras, magret of duck, prunes, walnuts and excellent quality locally produced wines.
